I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. I care for men, women, children, and infants. I do have a particular interest in the care of children. Children require special attention as they and their parents navigate the stages of development. When an infant or child is ill, same day appointments are provided to ensure rapid assessment. As a parent, I understand the unique health issues facing children and the deep concern parents have when there is a problem. I enjoy being there to provide this care.
My other focus is women’s health, including adolescent girls’ health, menstrual irregularities, menopause, osteoporosis and the psychosocial issues women face at each stage of life.
Dr. Phillips was born and raised in Fowler, Michigan, a small community near Lansing. She was raised on a dairy farm and has five brothers and sisters. After finishing medical school in 1997, she moved to the Charlotte area for her residency training. She enjoyed living in the area, and decided to join a practice in Monroe, NC after finishing training. She practiced there for over 6 years before moving to the Lake Norman area to join Lakeside Family Physicians. She currently lives in Huntersville with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising, and following sports teams like the Carolina Panthers and Michigan State Spartans.
